How to Create Information Products From Scratch Quickly

In this article I am going to teach you how to create information products quickly and easily.

First, what is an information product? And information product is a product that teaches someone how to do something in your niche. For example, if your niche is dog training, your information product might teach people how to teach their dog to sit. If your niche is weight loss, your information product might teach people how to lose 20 pounds. Or maybe if your niche is psychology, maybe your information product would teach someone how to communicate with their spouse better (or with better results).

There are several ways you can deliver the information itself, and you can use either of them with the process I am going to teach you below. The most common are: written (pdfs or ebooks), audio (mp3 recordings), and video recordings.

Video is generally only used for topics where it is necessary to show someone how to do something, as opposed to telling them. For example, how to change the oil in your car, how to teach your dog to sit, might both be good video topics. However, it is my personal opinion that you could teach either of those with audio or the written word.

Once you have determined which medium you will use for your information product (write it, speak it, or video it), then you will create an outline of what you are going to teach.

The way I teach my clients is to create an 8-10 topic list of the steps you are going to teach.

For example, if you are teaching a dog training product, then it might look something like this:

introduction what is dog training? background information for dog training how to teach your dog to come how to teach your dog to sit how to teach your dog to stay how to teach your dog to heel closing thoughts

Then you can take each topic and create subtopics or steps, for example, let's use topic 4 in this example:

how to teach your dog to come get a tasty bag of treats ask the dog to sit make the dog sit reward the dog for sitting ask the dog to sit compel the dog to sit reward the dog for sitting repeat 25 times repeat one hour later repeat 3 hours later

You would use the same process for each of the points in your outline.

Once you have your outline, you can begin to create your product.

If you are writing an ebook, just write a paragraph or two, up to a page or two, for each sub topic. In this case, that would give you a book about 70 pages long or so.

If you are recording the information in audio, simply try to teach for about 5 minutes on each sub topic. Of course, some topics may need more time, and some may need less, so just go with the flow. The most important thing here is to just do it. It is easier than it sounds, and hopefully this email has shown you that it is easier than you thought that it was.

If you are recording the information as a video, the same thing applies - try to record about 5 minutes for each sub topic, but if you need more or less time take it.

Hopefully after reading this article, you see how much easier it can be to create a product than perhaps you thought before. Now the next step is for you to simply do it.

You see, one of the things that I see that holds people back in building their internet business is a little bit of procrastination. Just conquer it! Just do it! Do it right now!
